About the Artist: Paula Estey has been writing and painting for most of her life, from short fiction to poetry, from dog portraits to installation art. She has two short books of poetry, Land’s End and Do Not Hide From Yearning. A chapbook is forthcoming about walking through the loss of a pet, called Goodbye Maggie-Dog. She is a mixed media painter and has been teaching her own class, “Painting as a Spiritual Practice” for eleven years. She has also facilitated Julia Cameron’s artist support workshops “The Artist’s Way” and “Vein of Gold” for more than 10 years. She has her own artist support group, called “Artists in Action,” now in its third year. She has been the Artist in Residence at Unity on the River Spiritual Center in Amesbury, Massachusetts for the past eight years. She also performs her spoken word poetry with a group called “Temple Thieves” at churches in the area. Her paintings have been shown extensively in New England and beyond. She lives with her husband in Newburyport, Massachusetts, and has one son and two stepsons.

The Firehouse Center for the Arts Art Gallery

The Firehouse Center for the Arts features twelve gallery shows a year. Each show is selected from submissions each Spring for the following year’s shows.
