The Vincent Dowling Theatre Company brings its professional production to the Firehouse stage. A play based on the famous Lincoln-Douglas Debates of 1859, it captures both the historical legacy of Abraham Lincoln and the role of debate in the American electoral process—perfectly timed to the run-up to the 2008 election! Suitable for grades 5-12. Study guides available. Curriculum areas: Civil War history; politics; American government; debate; social studies.
