Explore the culture of fishing, and what makes anglers tick. A film about fishermen more than fishing, it is set on Plum Island, Massachusetts, a barrier island just off the coast of Newburyport. The island is one of the finest fishing locales in the Northeast and draws an exceptionally diverse group of people searching for Striped Bass, Bluefish, Cod, Flounder, Mackerel, and others.
This one-hour documentary by Newbury resident and avid fisherman James Waldron captures the many changes that have occurred in the island fishing community through stunning camerawork. Short interviews, with those both young and old who are passionate about fishing, are experienced against amazing 8mm footage and black and white stills of Plum Island.
And, to get you properly geared up for the 2010 fishing season, local fishing businesses have donated free door prizes! You could take one home with you.
