Thu-Fri, December 22-23 at 8p

Theater in the Open is very excited to bring you a twist on the holiday classic, back by popular demand. It's a Wonderful Life is based on the beloved Frank Capra film but done in the style of "the golden age of radio." Come watch and listen as George Bailey discovers that life really is wonderful and see how Clarence, angel second class, acquires his wings. Listen in as veteran performers Scott Smith as George, Bonnie Jean Wilbur as Mary, Paul Wann as Clarence and Michael Thurston as Mr. Potter go to work at radio station WBFR to bring us a live broadcast of this treasured story. This is a production that literally evokes laughter and tears but, most of all, it evokes memories of a story the world loves and most of us grew up with. Join Theater in the Open as they transform the Firehouse Center into a 1940's radio hall, complete with sound-effect foley artists, singing sponsors and old fashioned holiday spirit.
