Fri-Sat 7pm, Sat-Sun 1pm
Performed by Theatre Workshop
Aesop’s Fables come to life in a multi-media presentation that takes us on a whimsical romp through some of our most familiar teaching tales. Stories, songs, dances, & video interviews with students are featured.
Aesop wrote, "Don’t let your special character, your values, the secret that you know and no one else does, the truth within you, get swallowed up."
Who was Aesop? Why are Aesop’s fables of virtue eternal?
Answers are found in an original adaptation of Aesop’s Fables and other short stories written and directed by Theater Workshop’s Stacey April Fix.
Into the Act with Aesop's Fables features a collection of multi-media student interviews inserted between stories acted with humor, dance and enchanting costumes. Memorable lessons are brought to life to serve as guidance for a social compass as we grow into the global community. The production includes both professional and student actors from the North Shore.
This event is co-produced by the Firehouse and the Theatre Workshop.
$12 Adults, $10 Students
