It's a Wonderful Life:
A radio play by Joe Landry
Mon-Tue, December 19-20, 2011
at 9:30 & 11:30am
Grades: 4 - Adult
Directed by TITO Artistic Director Edward Speck
Theater in the Open is very excited to bring you a twist on the holiday classic, back by popular demand. It's a Wonderful Life is based on the beloved Frank Capra film but done in the style of "the golden age of radio." Come watch and listen as George Bailey discovers that life really is wonderful and see how Clarence, angel second class, acquires his wings. Listen in as radio station WBFR brings us a live broadcast of this treasured story. This is a production that literally evokes laughter and tears but, most of all, it evokes memories of a story the world loves and most of us grew up with. Join Theater in the Open as they transform the Firehouse Center into a 1940's radio hall, complete with sound-effect foley artists, singing sponsors and old fashioned holiday spirit.
