Last Stop Coney Island

Co-Presented with Newburyport Documentary Film Festival

The life and photography of Harold Feinstein.

LAST STOP CONEY ISLAND is an independent feature documentary about the extraordinary life and work of the American photographer Harold Feinstein. A master of black and white 35mm street photography, Harold's career spans six decades from the 1940s to the 2000's. A true artist with a unique and inspiring philosophy on life, Harold finally began to see the recognition he deserved towards the end of his years. This authorized and definitive film tells the story of the man behind the pictures and celebrates his diverse body of work... some of which has never been seen before.

Following the film there will be a panel discussion.

Last Stop Coney Island: The Life and Photography of Harold Feinstein” premiered in November at DOCNYC before a sold out crowd and received this rave review from The Hollywood Reporter.  We’re so pleased that Harold’s local community theater is the second stop on the film’s screening calendar!  While he was a native of New York,  he lived and taught locally for the last 13 years of his life in Merrimac, MA.

Panel:   Judith Thompson, Harold Feinstein's widow and Executive Producer (also appears in the film)

Ticket includes 6pm beer, wine and snack reception. Film will begin at 7pm.

The event is co-produced by the Firehouse Center for the Arts and the Newburyport Documentary Film Festival
